In response to guidance from Federal and State officials, as well as the suggestion of our local and state health officials, Scott Agency, Inc. will begin closing our offices to the public and allowing employees to begin working from home. Offices will be closed, except by appointment, until such time as it is deemed acceptable by local, state, and federal health and safety officials to reopen to the public.
Any staff working from home will still be able to handle client interactions as normal, just as if they were sitting here in our offices. We may still have some staff in the offices for the time being, to answer phones, take messages, and to meet with appointments.
We’d like to reassure you that Scott Agency, Inc. and Melahn Insurance Agency are still open for business. We do have the ability to share policy information over the internet, either through secure video or web cam. We also have the ability to accept electronic signatures securely through our Scott Agency, Inc. Indio portal. Claims and payments can be made directly through carrier websites if necessary. If you have questions about or a desire to try any of these functions, please reach out to your agent.
Thank you all for your patience during these difficult times. Please continue to follow the guidance of our health and safety officials to help contain and control the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The best, most successful course of action is not always the easiest. The sun will shine again at the end of this storm, and the Scott Agency will continue to be here to serve our clients just as we have for the last 85 years.
